Early voting began Monday, May 18 in party primaries and local non-partisan elections, such as, the Georgia state legislators, Cobb County County Commission and the Cobb County Board of Education. Election Day is June 9. To help you make an informed decision, click HERE to check out EAST COBBER’s Voters Guide.

For the first two weeks, advance voting will be available only at the Cobb County Board of Elections office at 736 Whitlock Ave NW, Marietta 30064 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Beginning June 1 and continuing through June 5, when advance voting ends, voters can also cast ballots in person at the East Cobb Government Service Center, 4400 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta 30068.

In addition to the party primaries and nonpartisan races, voters can also cast a ballot in the state’s Presidential Preference Primary, though all candidates in the Democratic primary have withdrawn except for presumptive nominee Joe Biden.

The Presidential Preference Primary was originally scheduled in March, but state elections officials postponed it to coincide with nonpartisan and party primary elections scheduled for May 19 after Gov. Brian Kemp declared a state of emergency because of the coronavirus pandemic. Later, Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger delayed the May 19 elections until June 9.
