The Georgia Department of Transportation staff is inviting public input on a project to install one buffer-separated express lane in each direction on I-285 between Paces Ferry Road in Cobb County and just north of Interstate 20 in Fulton County. Known as the Westside Express Lanes project, this is another installment on the Georgia Express Lanes Network that will connect to the Northwest Corridor Express Lanes and future I-285 Top End West Express Lanes. A fact sheet and “frequently asked questions” sheet is available for download from the Cobb DOT website. A virtual open house website has been developed and is available for viewing to provide information on the project. To participate in the live virtual presentation and question and answer session on Thursday, February 11, go to the live virtual session web portal. The deadline for public comments is Monday, February 22.
