This 60 minute presentation was created by the National office of the Powerful Tools for Caregivers (PTC) program and will be presented by a trained co-leader of the PTC program.
In this program, caregivers will be presented a wealth of self-care tools to: reduce personal stress; change negative self-talk; communicate their needs to family members and healthcare or service providers; communicate effectively in challenging situations; recognize the messages in their emotions, deal with difficult feelings; and make tough care-giving decisions.
Managing Stress utilizes some of the tools that are used in one of the Powerful Tools for Caregivers (PTC) classes and will provide you with tips for taking care of yourself so that you can be a better caregiver.
