“Are you aging by design?” The Aging by Design 2016 Summit and Expo seeks to answer that question by providing invaluable information to help you shape the life you want to live and help you plan for the future.
Register now to attend the Summit and Expo on Saturday, April 30, featuring keynote speakers Coach Vince and Barbara Dooley. Coach Dooley is one of the winningest coaches in college football history and a member of the College Football Hall of Fame. He led the University of Georgia Bulldogs for 25 years and won six SEC championships and a national championship. Barbara has been married to this legend for almost 50 years and is a well-respected author, radio and television personality, non-profit volunteer, career woman and dynamic speaker. Together, the Dooley’s exemplify the importance of living a healthy lifestyle that includes nutrition, recreation and connecting with others.
This event, sponsored by WellStar Health System, begins at 9am and will be held at Roswell Street Baptist Church, 774 Roswell Street, Marietta 30060. Following the keynote speakers, there will be an Expo, featuring many local businesses related to living well. Representatives will be able to answer your questions about retirement planning, travel, home health, in-home care, many housing options—including independent, assisted and retirement—and more. Free health screenings will also be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Registration is now open and this is an event you won’t want to miss. You may register online through www.CobbSeniors.org or by visiting any Cobb County senior center. Early registration is $5 per person and includes continental breakfast. Early registration is available until 5pm, Friday, April 22. Registration after the deadline is $10 per person and does not include breakfast.
