Founded in 2009 by Dawn Reed, Aloha To Aging aims to empower family caregivers, aging care recipients, volunteers and the community in a positive manner through quality programming and support groups. Aloha To Aging provides a nurturing and socially stimulating environment for adults 50 and older who need engaging activities outside of their residence (and have primarily stopped driving). Aloha Day Club is therapeutically structured to include fellowship with peers, music, seated exercise, stimulating and creative activities, multigenerational programming and also a morning snack and lunch. Operating out of Covenant Presbyterian Church (2881 Canton Road, Marietta/East Cobb) Aloha To Aging has annually positively impacted over 3,000 individuals, even through COVID-19 pandemic, to age well and better understand and respond to the ever-changing needs associated with caring for an aging person.
This non-profit could not execute their rich and diverse offerings without the help of volunteers. Whether you have 4 hours a month or 2 hours a week, would prefer a one time project, or have multiple talents you’d like to share, Aloha To Aging would like to hear from you. Here are some of the volunteer opportunities:
