Business partners and brothers- in-law Philip Caltabiano and William Harris take these words to heart. They are professionalsrunning a polished operation, providing in-home care for seniors or anyone in need of care. Such care includes those suffering with Dementia and help with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living). Some of the ADLs may include, help with hygiene, dressing, medication reminders, meal prep and serving. Many of their client families depend on Angel Companions for respite care during their clients’ working hours and/or out-of-town stays.

Since 2007, Angel Companions Senior Care has served over 2,000 families in all 27 metro Atlanta counties; many of whom were told about the quality of service and reliability from other families. Many other new clients come to Angel Companions because they are told by doctors, nurses, and discharge planners that Angel Companions has deservedly earned the trust of its clients and their families.

Both owners raised their families in East Cobb and their children are Walton and Wheeler alumni, Philip’s wife Patricia taught at Eastside Elementary, so East Cobb is headquarters for them. This family run business exudes warmthand kindness from their team as soon as you walk in the door. All incoming calls are answered by a real person and not some automated system. They understand that this may be an emotional and financial decision for those seeking help. Accordingly, their practice is to not only answer your questions, but to educate and provide information.

“Call it a special gift—the passionate desire to care for others. We seek these special people, the ones who have earned the right to be called caregivers. They choose this path not for recognition or riches, but for fulfillment and pride in giving care with dignity, respect and love,” shares Caltabiano. Caregivers may be the face of the in-home care provider because they serve in the frontlines; but behind them must be a dedicated management team. Caltabiano and Harris know that this could only happen by building the right team with the right people making certain every day, every hour and every minute, that the care being provided is being delivered as it should be. The office cultureis one of “family”. They provide a special place to work and ask that all employees treat each other as family, thereby this same culture is conveyed to the clients and caregivers with whom the staff interact with daily.

As one client shared, “I cannot begin to tell you how much we appreciate you and all the ladies who helped mom. Each and every one of them was really special and she loved them! So have we! . . . You have managed to find great people with warm hearts who get it and have become part of the family.”
