“As always, we have planned special features for Atlanta Home Show attendees to enjoy,” said Mark Levine, Show manager. “We are particularly excited to debut our largest feature ever — a 6,500-square-foot display area called Landscapers Lane. A number of land- scape and outdoor living companies, including Georgia Landscape, Mark Turner Grading, Winston’s Removal & Landscaping and Schlampp Turf Management, will come together to create a beautiful oasis of gardens, hardscapes, water and fire features, outdoor living areas and much more along a meandering pathway.”

Marketplace Events is partnering with Mike Rowe, creator and host of Discovery Channel’s “Dirty Jobs,”
and his foundation, the mikeroweWORKS Foundation, which awards Work Ethic Scholarships to students pursuing a career in the skilled trades. Since 2008 when Rowe launched the foundation, he has led the charge to help close America’s widening skills gap – an issue directly impacting the home improvement industry.

“Through the foundation, we are committed to supporting the local builders, remodelers, installers, repairmen and all skilled tradespeople who do the jobs that most people are unable or untrained to do,” said Rowe. “There aren’t many places left like these local home shows where homeowners can meet with their local experts, get trusted advice, talk price, look the experts in the eye, shake their hands and decide for themselves, yes, I’m good with letting this company into my home.”

Friday, March 20 is both “Trade Day” and “Hero Day.” On Friday only, anyone who works in the home industry will receive free admission to the Show, simply by showing his or her business card at the Show’s main entrance. Active military, first responders, fire fighters and police officers will be admitted for free with ID, as a thank-you for their service. Show hours are 10am-6pm on Friday, March 20; 10am-8pm on Saturday, March 21 and 11am-5pm on Sunday, March 22. Paid onsite parking is available, pay- able by credit or debit card only. Cobb Galleria Centre is located at 2 Galleria Parkway, Atlanta 30339.
