Celebrate the festival of lights with the Marcus Jewish Community Center (MJCCA). The MJCCA will be hosting festive and engaging community-wide Hanukkah events for the entire family. Hanukkah begins Sunday, December 18th at sundown and concludes on Monday, December 26th.
MJCCA Hanukkah programming includes:
- Science of Light: December 18th at 2 pm: This unique and engaging program will offer educational and fun STEM activities for both preschoolers and older children to get in the Hanukkah spirit! This is a great opportunity to introduce the holiday to little ones or add a little excitement for kids who have celebrated before. The event will conclude with the lighting of the menorah for the first night of Hanukkah. As we count down the days to Hanukkah, we have many chances to do nice things, or mitzvot, for our friends, families, community, and world. - Light up the JCC: December 20th at 5 pm: Light up the JCC with Rabbi Brian Glusman to celebrate Hanukkah! Enjoy a menorah lighting, Hanukkah songs, performances, and free hot chocolate and doughnuts all outside in the MJCCA courtyard (weather permitting)!
