Mezza Luna Italian Restaurant & Bar is redefining Italian fine dining in Marietta. Husband-and-wife owners Daniele Furfaro and Bella Furfaro bring their passion for authentic Italian cuisine to the community, offering an elevated dining experience at their intimate restaurant. Located at 2100 Roswell Road #2198 in the Pavilions at Eastlake, Mezza Luna features sophisticated decor, subdued lighting, and both indoor and outdoor seating. With a romantic atmosphere and a mouthwatering menu, the restaurant delivers a modern take on luxury Italian dining.

The Furfaros moved to the United  States 20 years ago from Calabria, Italy.  In 2021, they acquired the coveted  corner space and undertook major renovations. Bella designed the interior,  remodeling it with materials, furniture,  and art imported from Italy—including  the plates and glassware. In 2023, they celebrated the grand opening of Mezza  Luna Pasta & Seafood, renaming it  Mezza Luna Italian Restaurant & Bar in  2025 to reflect its expanded offerings.

Daniele’s culinary journey began at  a young age, apprenticing under a pastry  chef before falling in love with cooking.  He attended culinary school in Italy and  has collaborated with Michelin-starred  chefs. As Mezza Luna’s executive chef,  he crafts exquisite dishes while Bella  leads front-of-house operations. Daniele  also serves as head pastry chef, creating  desserts such as the restaurant’s heavenly  tiramisu, as well as profiteroles and gelato  that are equally sublime.

“This is my passion—this is what I  love to do,” Daniele says.

The couple has three children,  all under the age of nine. Their eldest  daughter often assists the restaurant’s  hostess, seating guests and serving bread  baskets. At Mezza Luna, every customer  is treated like family, whether visiting for  a date night, a family celebration, or a  private event.

Mezza Luna’s menu showcases the beauty and flavor of authentic  Italian cuisine. Appetizers include  classics such as bruschetta, calamari  fritti, and mussels alla tarantina.  Regulars rave about the handmade  pastas and house-made sauces.  Meanwhile, the friendly staff offers  their own recommendations, such as  the gnocchi al pesto with blue crab  meat or the black squid ink pasta with  marinara sauce, mussels and shrimp.  Fresh seafood and fine wines keep  customers returning time and again.

“We are not fake,” Bella explains.  “We make everything here. We have four  different flours—one for pasta, one for  pizza, one for gnocchi, and one for bread.  Everything we do, we buy organic and  from Italy.”

This year, Mezza Luna will  host curated wine dinners featuring  unparalleled Italian menus and romantic  themes. East Cobbers won’t want to miss  the house-made limoncello or the melt in-your-mouth chicken marsala. The  restaurant is open daily, with separate  lunch and dinner service hours.

Mezza Luna Italian Restaurant &  Bar is on its way to becoming a family  favorite in the East Cobb community,  offering seasonal specials and luxury  event catering. To make a reservation,  order online, or inquire about events and  catering, visit mezzalunamarietta.com or  call 678-214-5856.
