BEEHIVE presented by Atlanta Lyric Theatre.
Told from the perspective of six young women who come of age in this enigmatic decade, BEEHIVE takes us from their first Beehive Dance to the challenges we faced as a nation. Audiences will want to dance in the aisles as this show never stops moving and grooving with music by the most famous female performers of the 1960’s. Concerto Competition Showcase Concert.
Come watch the finalists for the Georgia Philharmonic 2021-2022 Samuel Fordis Concerto Competition. Out of hundreds of young musicians in the Atlanta area, these musicians were selected for their incredible musicianship, technique, performance presence and repertoire:

>Winner of the Apprentice category, Yining Zhang, will perform the first movement of the Mendelssohn Vioin Concerto in E minor.

>Co-winner of the Artisan I category, Eric Chen, will perform the fourth movement of the Elgar Cello Concerto in E minor.

>Co-winner of the Artisan I category, Tobias Liu, will perform the first movement of the Sibelius Violin Concerto in D minor.

>Winner of the Artisan II category, Alexia Toma, will perform the flute Concertino, Op 107 by Chaminade.

>Winner of the Virtuoso category, Rebekah Willard, will perform the first movement of the Korngold Violin Concerto in D Major.

The orchestra will also perform Der Freischutz Overture by Carl Maria von Weber. This will be a fantastic concert for all levels of young, aspiring musicians to attend.Lassiter Concert Hall, 2601 Shallowford Road, Marietta 30066. Tickets: $10-$50.
