The Marietta Cobb Museum of Art is delighted to announce the return of Chalktoberfest, its internationally recognized Chalk Art and Craft Beer Festival, taking place October 10–11, 2026, on the Marietta Square.

Chalktoberfest is an art-filled weekend with something for the whole family to enjoy. Professional chalk artists from across the USA, and around the globe bring their talents to the beautiful streets of Marietta Square for all to enjoy. Enjoy your afternoon as you watch the chalk artists create their masterpieces, listen to local bands perform in Glover Park, and support local arts, crafts, and food vendors. Chalktoberfest has something for everyone, and the best part is that the chalk festival is free and open to the public! In addition to the weekend-long chalk art festival, Chalktoberfest will present our annual Craft Beer Festival on Saturday, October 10 and our annual Community Chalk Competition on Sunday, October 11.

Sip, savor, and celebrate at the Craft Beer Festival on Saturday, October 10, from 12-5pm — featuring 120+ local craft beers, ciders, and seltzers, as well as 20+ varieties of wine. All Craft Beer Festival participants receive a collectible 2026 Chalktoberfest souvenir cup. This high-energy event sells out every year, so don’t miss your chance to raise a glass, enjoy incredible local flavors, and support the arts in one unforgettable day.

The Community Chalk Competition will be held on Sunday, October 11, from 10:30am – 12:30pm for teams and 10:30am – 2pm for individuals. This competition is a unique opportunity for community members to try their hand at creating their own chalk art, have a chance to win exciting prizes, and be part of the chalk art legacy that Chalktoberfest brings each year. The competition is open for the public to participate, and participants may enter as individuals or as part of a group. More information can be found at www.chalktoberfest.com.

Chalktoberfest is brought to you by the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art (MCMA). Located off the Marietta Square, MCMA is the only art museum in Metro Atlanta focusing solely on American fine art. The festival proceeds support the Museum’s mission of “building community through art,” and admission to the Museum is free all weekend-long during Chalktoberfest!
