Cobb County Superior Court Clerk Rebecca Keaton and the Georgia Superior Court Clerk’s Cooperative Authority are hosting a free notary training session on Dec. 14 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The training workshop will be held at the Jury Assembly Room in the Cobb County Superior Courthouse, 70 Haynes St. in Marietta. It is open to the public and recommended for anyone who is currently a Notary Public in the State of Georgia or would like to become one. It is important to remember that a Notary Public should perform their duties to the utmost extent of the law. Failure to do so could result in costly lawsuits and penalties as a Notary is liable for his or her actions.
