In celebration of its 16th anniversary and to thank the community for its continued support, Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre will host a Sweet 16 Community Day & Open House Celebration on Sunday, Aug. 27 from 12 to 5 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
Highlighted by performances from resident companies The Atlanta Opera and Atlanta Ballet and student performers with the ArtsBridge Foundation, Community Day is a family-friendly, drop-in event with children’s activities, food trucks, free performing arts classes, behind-the-scenes building tours and numerous giveaways and prizes. Since opening in 2007, a wide range of artists from opera, ballet, concerts, and comedians to major awards shows have selected Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre as their venue of choice. Over the past 16 years, Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre has hosted over 3,500 performances and events welcoming more than 3.5 million patrons.
