PLANT SALE:

Come celebrate Earth Day Weekend with the Cobb  Master Gardeners! A perfect place to pick up pottery,  locally sourced honey/herbs/sauces, bird accessories,  rock art, jewelry, furniture, wood/glass crafts, and  plants from vendors all over the Southeast, the 24th Plant Sale and Expo is a haven for collectors, art  enthusiasts, knitters, potters, and, of course, gardeners.  There’s something here for everyone! The Master  Gardeners’ Yard Sale and Face Painting areas are sure  to delight the youngest and most seasoned of visitors!  April 19-20, 2024, from 10am-4pm at Jim R. Miller Park.

GARDEN TOUR:

Four of Cobb County’s finest residents have  graciously opened their gardens for the 21st Annual  Garden Tour (May 18, 2024, from 9am-4pm) to  showcase how we can protect our pollinators. Let our  docents take you through semi-tropical paradises,  rows of rhododendrons, zen gardens, woodlands  full of natives, and quiet spaces for pollinators and  people alike. Stop by two MGVOCC projects as well –  The William Root House in Marietta to walk through  history and The Wellness Garden at the Cobb County  Farm Bureau to learn how to grow fresh produce.  Tickets ($21 in advance; $25 the day of the Tour) can  be purchased as of March 1 at cobbmastergardeners. com. Children 17 and under are free.

MASTER GARDENERS:

Are you interested in joining the Master Gardeners? We have a variety of projects and  programs throughout Cobb County focusing on  Georgia-specific plants, birds and pollinators,  and sustainable growing practices.
