Acworth Slide: World’s Largest Inflatable Water Slide. The 175′ long waterslide is billed as the “World’s Largest Inflatable Water Slide. Each slider must be 42 inches or taller. Glover Park Evening Concert Series: Members Only–‘80s Party Band. Bring a blanket and picnic dinner or dine in one of the many fine restaurants on the Square and enjoy a free concert. Atlanta Back 2 School Food Festival. This kid friendly event features food, music, clothing, and information on health, education, art, and after-school care programs for families. Enjoy a culinary experience from Metro Atlanta’s restaurants, caterers, and food trucks. Kids can enjoy the fun zone, equipped with inflatables, waterslides, rock climbing wall, bungee jumping, and bouncy houses. Kids bring swimwear and a towel! 12:30- 6:30pm. East Cobb Rotary Dog Days 5K/1 Mile/Tot Trot. Tuskegee Airmen of World War II Exhibit. Compliments of the Kennesaw State University Museum of History & Holocaust Education, the East Cobb library will display their Tuskegee Airmen exhibit, which explores the history and heroism of the first African American pilots to fly in combat during World War II. This exhibit offers a look into the historical challenges and triumphs of these unsung American heroes, and will be available for viewing during regular East Cobb Library operating hours.
