Christy Boyce, owner of Get Up Go Travel, was recently selected to participate in Travel Weekly’s CruiseWorld STAR (Select Travel Advisor Recognition) Program, a significant investment in the future of travel advisors made by leading industry publication Travel Weekly. The elite group of travel professionals from the United States and Canada were immersed in event programming from November 11 through 13, which included travel industry product and destination training and executive workshops hosted by Industry CEOs from major cruise lines who discussed, in depth, the future of the cruise and travel industry.

Boyce was selected to participate in this unique program after a series of prequalifying requirements, which included an unparalleled commitment to professional development and growth, and to servicing their clients’ needs in ways that exceed traditional standards.

As a participant, Boyce was also given access to tour several of the newest and most innovative cruise ships. Cruising is a rapidly growing industry and fully understanding the ever-changing market is critical in helping travelers select the best fit for their vacation experience.

“Today’s travel sellers have a daunting responsibility in knowing and truly understanding the options available for the traveling public. Nearly 200 of the industry’s leading cruise lines and vacation destinations were in attendance to meet these sellers and keep them up to date on the global travel opportunities available to their customers,” said Alicia Evanko-Lewis, Senior Vice President of Events for Travel Weekly.

Individuals who participated in the STAR Program at Travel Weekly’s CruiseWorld are dedicated to professional development, have a commitment to superior customer service and desire to grow their ability to match each client’s needs, lifestyle and budget to the best vacation choice.

Get Up Go Travel is located at 3605 Sandy Plains Road in Marietta / East Cobb.
