BE THE KEY! You helped pass the Safe Harbor Act; now it is time for the next step. Sex trafficking is the #2 industry in the country. Do you know how to protect your children? Do know that traffickers are highly experienced in grooming vulnerable teens? Do you know that sex traffickers, victims and purchasers live in our community? Do you know the target age of victims is 12-14?

Adults, teens and middle school students with a parent are invited to attend “Because Children are Priceless” to learn the answers to these questions and how to get involved. The two-part event will have a gallery of agencies with volunteer opportunities and resources followed by a panel discussion led by professionals in the industry. Panelists include former Attorney General Sam Olens and prosecutor Camila Wright, along with representatives from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Georgia Cares, Out of Darkness, Rescuing Hope, Street Grace and Wellspring.

The East Cobb Consortium for Ending Child Slavery will hold the event on Thursday, January 26 at Etz Chaim Synagogue at 1190 Indian Hills Parkway, Marietta, GA. Doors open at 7 p.m. for the gallery. The panel discussion will begin at 7:30 p.m.
