Jeff Prinsell, DMD, MD was re-elected President of the Georgia Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons for a 2nd term (2016-2017). Dr. Prinsell earned his dental degree from Tufts University, medical degree from Vanderbilt University, and surgical internship and residency at Vanderbilt.

His private practice of oral and maxillofacial surgery, established in 1992, focuses on wisdom teeth removal, dental implants, and the treatment of snoring and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) with oral appliances and surgery.

The Georgia Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons contributes to the health and welfare of the people of Georgia by enlightening the dental and medical professions and the general public of the State regarding the qualifications and functions of dentists who have been properly trained to practice the specialty of oral and maxillofacial surgery.

Dr. Prinsell is the Founding President of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine, Past President of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and Past Chair of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons’ educational OSA division. He has published and lectured extensively, nationally and internationally, on the surgical treatment of OSA, a common potentially life-threatening medical disorder.

Jeff and his wife, Kim, reside in East Cobb and have two sons, Jeffrey and Eric (Walton High School graduates), and two grandchildren.
