Make Plans to Stay Home

A 45-minute presentation, conducted by the Atlanta Chapter of National Aging in Place Council, designed to help empower seniors to make choices about self, home and community. The presentation provides a forum for learning about key successful components of aging in place to help address current and future needs.

Navigating the Senior Years

As you age, it is advisable to plan so your voyage is a pleasant journey. This informative session will explain the decisions that need to be made, along with the legal documents required to protect you and your loved ones. Learn how to protect your assets and qualify for benefits without going broke. Also, become familiar with the signs that indicate that you are not safe living on your own. If you need additional help, learn what type of help is available and how you can get help finding the best place based your medical needs and financial situation. Complimentary lunch will be provided.

AARP Smart Driver

$15 AARP members, $20 Non-members.

The AARP Smart Driver course is a refresher course specifically designed for drivers age 50 and older. Drivers may benefit from a discount on their auto insurance upon completing the course. Refresh your driving skills and your knowledge of the rules — and hazards — of the road. Bring a lunch. Check with your insurance agent about a possible discount. Bring a lunch.

Enjoy a beautiful tour to Barrington Hall and Bulloch Hall to see their magical transformations. Bulloch Hall will be decorated for Christmas just like in 1845 and holiday wishes do come true at Barrington Hall!
