Frugal FunMom is back again this week with more activities to keep the whole family off the couch this summer. Friday, July 10: Sunset Hike
Join a naturalist for a moderate two-mile hike along the river as you watch the sun go down. Bring water, good hiking shoes, bug spray, and a flashlight. Meet at Day Use area.

Saturday, July 11: Drive-In Movie- Aladdin
Pack your car with your favorite movie snacks and drinks (no alcohol allowed). Gather your outdoor chairs and blankets and join the Cobb County PARKS Department for an outdoor movie experience. The park will open at 6:30pm. Staff will coordinate family art projects (with proper social distancing) and have a trivia question time prior to the movie. The main event is scheduled to begin around 7:30pm.

Sunday, July 12: Pictures & Picking Sunflowers
An East Cobber turned me on to today’s activity, when I saw her pictures on Facebook. This farm has tons of sunflowers for picture taking galore and you can even cut your own to take home. Hurry, they don’t last long. The farm is only open this week!
Cost: $20/parking (any number of people); $1/stem to cut flowers

Monday, July 13: Kennesaw Farmer’s Market & Dinner at the Depot
Dinner at the Depot features live music and a variety of food trucks. The Kennesaw Farmers Market features an average of over 30 local farmers and merchants offer fresh tomatoes, flowers, seasonal fruits and vegetables, plants, herbs, and a variety of local food and products.

Tuesday, July 14: Acworth Depot Park
Acworth Depot Park is an architectural replica of the original railroad depot. The Depot features static and electronic displays that tells Acworth’s history.

Wednesday, July 15: Safari Drive Thru
View animals from the comfort of your car! See Camels, Zebras, Ostrich & more. There are add-on attractions available for additional fees.

Thursday, July 16: Free Eye Exams and Glasses
Vision To Learn will offer vision screenings, eye exams, and, if necessary, glasses for children ages 5-18. These services are free and will be provided at no cost to you. Space is limited and registration is required.
