In a world filled with challenges and divisions, Lisa Kogel Crossley has taken a stand to unite and inspire women through fashion. Crossley is the visionary CEO and founder of GIRLSTRONG®, a brand dedicated to spreading positivity and empowering women globally.
GIRLSTRONG is an e-commerce brand; a community comprised of women and girls, media and influencers, athletes and beauty queens, moms and daughters and sisters– all connected by the same message: Empowered women empower each other.
GIVING BACK
Crossley remembers as a young girl being picked on by girls who only felt powerful when they were bullying others. “Girls can be so mean to each other!” So, she created a brand with a simple mission: bring women together.
Crossley explains, “As a female founded, funded and operated business, the future of both our company and our community is deeply connected to the empower ment of women and girls.”
GIRLSTRONG has recently partnered with Girls on the Run Georgia, a nonprofit organization that develops essential emotional, social and physical skills in girls, to successfully navigate life experiences.
On October 15, 2024, from 1-3 pm, GIRLSTRONG invites the community to a “Healthy Happy Hour.” The event will be held at Stellar Bodies Buckhead Court (3872 Roswell Road, Ste B2, Atlanta). The reception will feature light bites & drinks, guest speakers & networking oppor tunities. Event tickets are $35 and guests will receive a swag bag including a GIRLSTRONG T-shirt with net pro ceeds going to benefit Girls on the Run Georgia.
“We are so pleased to give back to Girls on the Run Georgia,” says Crossley. “The positive impact that their valuable programs have on thousands of girls is a perfect complement to our objective of promoting confidence and empowerment.”
Girls on the Run Georgia was founded in 2000 with just 30 participants and has now served more than 45,000 in Greater Atlanta, North Georgia, Athens, and Golden Isles, building confidence for life.
“Girls on the Run successfully provides programming that inspires thousands of local girls to recognize their inner strength, and increases their level of physical activity and confidence,” says Lea Rolfes, Executive Director, Girls on the Run Georgia. “Like our organization, GIRLSTRONG strives to unlock the power and potential in girls of all ages.”
“We are thrilled to host the GIRLSTRONG event benefiting Girls on the Run Georgia,” says Stellar Bodies Founder Amy Selig. “A Healthy Happy Hour seems to be the perfect kind of reception to merge all of our agencies’ missions: fostering healthy lifestyles for individuals and helping them achieve their wellness goals.”
Whitney Reynolds is the executive producer and host of the nationally syndicated PBS talk show, The Whitney Reynolds Show. Reynolds is on the GIRLSTRONG Advisory Board. Reynolds will be a featured guest speaker at the October 15th event.
