To our valued readers and advertisers:

Like many of you, we have been trying to deal with the turmoil that COVID-19 has caused over the past few weeks. We unfortunately need to share that we have decided that the EAST COBBER must “go dark” and suspend publishing our May print edition. The April issue is out and has been direct mailed to East Cobb residences. Come May 1, we will then evaluate the situation and determine if a June/July print edition will be viable.

EAST COBBER is dedicated to providing useful and relevant information, so we will be using our social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) to push out COVID-19 virus updates, primary election (scheduled for June 9) info, and stories on how our neighbors are helping one another through this crisis as well as continuing to promote our EAST COBBER advertisers. We will continue to “mail” our weekly Enewsletter to our 22,000+ subscribers. Advertising opportunities are available to those businesses that want to maintain their brand awareness.

We don’t take the health risks of COVID-19 lightly, and you shouldn’t either. But we also recognize the impact that these restrictions are having on our economy. We simply all must play with the cards we have been dealt and do what we feel is best while looking out for the well-being of ourselves and others, too. Meanwhile, please continue to shop local in safe ways. Our local businesses need your support now more than ever.

After 26 years of publishing, we appreciate the deep roots that we have in the East Cobb community we serve. We cherish loyal readers and advertisers like you. But let there be no doubt, we will be back, and we look forward to the time when we can share that with each of you.

Stay Healthy!
