Mark your calendars—East Cobb’s most cher ished community event is back! On Saturday, September 13, the 27th Annual EAST COBBER Parade & Festival will once again bring neigh bors, local businesses, schools, and families together for a day full of hometown pride and family fun.

The festivities kick off at 10 a.m. with the EAST COBBER Parade, a lively procession that has become a hallmark of East Cobb life. The one-mile parade route begins in front of the Princeton Lakes subdivision (1223 Johnson Ferry Road), travels south on Johnson Ferry Road, and turns onto Olde Towne Parkway. Along the way, spectators will be treated to an exciting lineup of high school marching bands, colorful floats, scout troops, sports teams, local nonprofits, and more.
And let’s not forget the sweet part—it’s affectionately known as the “candy parade” for good reason! Parade participants come prepared with bags of candy to toss to the cheering crowds, making it a highlight for kids and parents alike.
Following the parade, the celebration continues at the EAST COBBER Festival, starting around 11 a.m. and held in the north parking lot of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church (955 Johnson Ferry Road). The festival transforms the space into a festive hub of activity with local entertainment, carnival games, a variety of vendor booths, and delicious food options from East Cobb restaurants and food trucks.
Kids will especially love the face painting, moon walks, and carnival games, while adults can explore booths showcasing handmade goods, jewelry, community organizations, and more. Whether you’re a longtime resident or new to the area, the EAST COBBER Festival offers a unique opportunity to connect with your neighbors and support the local businesses and groups that make East Cobb thrive.
“This event has always been about more than just a parade or a festival—it’s about celebrating the people and organizations that make East Cobb such a desirable community,” says Laren Brown, publisher of EAST COBBER and founder of the parade. “Year after year, it still fills me with joy to see families lining the streets, kids waving at floats, and neighbors coming together to support one another.”
This year’s event is made possible thanks to the generous support of CertaPro Painters and Custom Disposal, whose sponsorship helps keep this tradition alive and growing.
The EAST COBBER Parade & Festival is more than just an event—it’s a celebration of what makes East Cobb such a special place to live. Come for the fun, catch some candy, and enjoy an unforgettable day of com
munity connection.
