A Trip Back into Hidden History

Visit one of the last standing Rosenwald Schools in the Southeast, Noble Hill School, located in Cassville, GA.

Take a tour with Mike Weinroth, who has spent over a decade researching and restoring Roswenwald schools throughout Georgia.

This tour will reflect the legacy of Booker T. Washington, founder of the Tuskegee Institute, one of the first teacher education colleges for African Americans in the southeast, and Julius Rosenwald, Jewish philanthropist, and part-owner of Sears Roebuck, Inc. The two met in Chicago and that meeting forever changed the future of educational opportunities for African Americans in 15 southeastern states.

A Chartered bus will leave from Etz Chaim. Space is limited.
