Lunchtime in the Studio

Lunchtime in the Studio offers “a close-up and personal look at how contemporary dance is crafted and performed” (AJC). Lunchtime in the Studio provides a free “backstage pass”, including lunch, with the opportunity for the public to actively engage in the innovation, collaboration, investigation and community-building that forms the heart of CORE’s vision. You are warmly greeted as you enter the welcoming studio, get your lunch, take a seat, and observe and respond as art-makers share their work. CORE, a contemporary dance organization, creates, performs, and presents compelling, original dance that ignites the creative spirit and actively engages in international cultural conversations.

At the April 27th Lunchtime in the Studio,audience members will get the opportunity to become familiar with CORE’s work in the community as we share aspects of our Dynamic X-Change, CORE’s signature community outreach program since 1992 , provides safe, constructive, nurturing, creative outlets for people in need of building self-awareness, communication skills, healthy body awareness and movement appreciation. Focusing on expression and communication, as well as physical activity and fitness, participants discuss and interpret experiences in movement.
