Register Now for Hazardous Household Waste Drop-off [IN-PERSON]

Everyone can prevent harmful waste from entering our environment and water systems. You can help by safely disposing of household hazardous waste at our free collection event 9 a.m.-noon, Saturday, Oct. 31. Items accepted include mercury, aerosols, batteries, flammables, photo chemicals, lawn care products, light bulbs, paint products, swimming pool chemicals, pesticides, cleaners, antifreeze and used motor oil. Items not accepted include ammunition, pharmaceuticals, agricultural waste, radioactive materials, bio-hazardous waste and biomedical waste.

The annual Household Hazardous Waste event will be held at 2435 East-West Connector, Austell. Please remain in your vehicle during the collection process. Staff will access your vehicle/trunk to retrieve the items. Be prepared to leave containers/boxes/bags. No commercial vehicles or waste from businesses. A limit of 10 gallons of paint per vehicle.
