MARIETTA, GA. – Join Wheeler High School Theatre on a trip to Whoville, as they present Seussical, Jr. on January 17 at 7:00 pm and January 18 at 5:00 pm in the Wheeler Performance Arts Center.
A musical perfect for the whole family, Seussical Jr. takes a deep plunge into the world of Dr. Seuss, where his beloved characters come to life onstage! Tony-winning writers Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty have crafted a fantastical musical extravaganza narrated by none other than the Cat in the Hat. Our story journeys from the Jungle of Nool to Whoville where we meet Horton the Elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing the tiny town of Whoville. The villainous Jungle Nool Creatures have stolen Horton’s prized speck, and he now quest to find the tiny Whoville town. Along the way he succumbs to the plea of Mayzie La Bird to sit on an egg, thus abandoning his search. Alas the day is saved by the chance passing by of Gertrude McFuzz. The powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and ultimately emerge triumphant!

Seussical Jr. weaves a story of friendship, loyalty, love and teaches us the power of being unique and the importance of fighting for your beliefs.
