SATURDAY, JULY 13
Christmas in July on the Marietta Square. Kids will enjoy sending letters to the North Pole, taking a photo with “tropical” Santa, summer tunes by the Strand Choir, watch artists work on creating one-of-a-kind reindeer art that will be on exhibit at Winter Wonderland in December.
Cost: Free; Pictures are by cash donation or a toy for Cobb Christmas.
Time: 9am – 1pm; Photos with Santa: 10am – 12 noon.

SUNDAY, JULY 14
Slip-n-Slide Extravaganza. Bring out the whole family to enjoy this event that will offer three different age-appropriate slides (150 feet, 100 feet, and 50 feet). Slides, food, music and fun! Bring your towel and an inner tube (optional). Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult to sign waiver onsite.

MONDAY, JULY 15
Visit BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir. Enjoy hours of beauty, peace, and discovery– a masterpiece of exquisite Indian design and workmanship. Marvel at the intricate marble carvings, participate in Hindu rituals or learn about the world’s oldest living faith – Hinduism.
Open to one and all, the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir is comprised of 3 types of stone (Turkish Limestone, Italian marble, and Indian pink sandstone). More than 34,000 individual pieces were carved by hand in India, shipped to the USA and assembled in Lilburn like a giant 3-D puzzle.

TUESDAY, JULY 16
Tuesday Morning Tennis with USTA at The Battery Atlanta. Mini tennis nets, foam balls and kid-sized racquets provided, kids (and parents) can participate in fun, fast-paced introductory tennis games with instructors through Kids Tennis on the Turf.

THURSDAY, JULY 18
Alive in Roswell. This monthly free, family-friendly street festival features live bands, DJ’s, food trucks, hundreds of interactive vendors, kids’ games and entertainment, and enjoys participation from the surrounding historical district boutiques, small businesses and restaurants. The event takes place simultaneously at three different historical district venues: Historic Canton Street, Historic Roswell Square, and the City Hall grounds. FRIDAY, JULY 19
Robert C Williams Museum of Papermaking. An internationally renowned resource on the history of paper and paper technology. In addition to more than 2,000 books, the museum features a remarkable collection of over 10,000 watermarks, papers, tools, machines, and manuscripts. The museum’s mission is to collect, preserve, increase and disseminate knowledge about papermaking – past, present and future.
Cost: Free. Parking is $1/hour in a two-hour lot in front of the museum. See website for payment app.
