An American Celebration Concert. An American Celebration concert featuring music by the Johnson Ferry Orchestra. An Ice Cream Social will follow the concert in the Fellowship Hall. Bring a carton of your favorite ice cream to the Fellowship Hall prior to the concert (not required) and return afterwards to enjoy!

MONDAY, JULY 3
Salute to America. The City of Kennesaw’s 2023 pre-Independence Day celebration of freedom, music and fireworks is one of the biggest and best in North Georgia! Salute to America eventgoers will be treated to two stages of live music, festive street entertainment, food vendors and plenty of activities for the kids.

TUESDAY, JULY 4
Marietta’s Fourth in the Park! Grab your American flag, put on your red, white and blue, and celebrate America’s independence with an Independence Day parade and celebration on the Square, free live concerts, arts and crafts show, food, carnival games and the City of Marietta fireworks finale
The Marietta Independence Day parade starts at 10am at Roswell Street Baptist Church and ends at North Marietta Parkway. It will be followed by concerts, museum tours, arts and crafts, carnival games, and a fireworks finale at dark in Glover Park/Marietta Square.
Cost: Free admission

Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Museum Tour. It’s more than just the artifacts! Join for two special tours of the Visitor Center Museum where Rangers take you on a journey through the entirety of the Civil War (with heavy focus on the Western Theater and the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain). Discuss the causes, biggest battles, blunders and how the war still affects us today over 150 years later.

THURSDAY, JULY 6
Take a Hike at Sope Creek! Sope Creek Park offers over 3 miles of hiking, mountain biking and running trails. The Sope Creek Trail travels to the multi-story ruins of a paper mill, destroyed by Union troops during the Civil War. Beside the ruins, Sope Creek flows wide and shallow, coursing through angular shoals under a canopy of trees towards the wide Chattahoochee River just downstream.
Cost: $5 for a day long parking pass or $40 for an annual pass

Art Walk is a free self-guided walking tour that celebrates the vitality of Marietta’s diverse cultural Arts scene, showcasing local artists throughout the Marietta Square. Look for the balloons to point you in the direction of our artists, they will be inside instead of on the sidewalk.
