SATURDAY, JULY 6
Take a Hike at Sope Creek! Sope Creek Park offers over 3 miles of hiking, mountain biking and running trails. The Sope Creek Trail travels to the multi-story ruins of a paper mill, destroyed by Union troops during the Civil War. Beside the ruins, Sope Creek flows wide and shallow, coursing through angular shoals under a canopy of trees towards the wide Chattahoochee River just downstream.
Cost: $5 for a day long parking pass

SUNDAY, JULY 7
Martin Luther King Jr. Birth Home. Tours of the birthplace of the great Martin Luther King Jr. are offered daily. Each tour lasts about 30 minutes.
No special arrangements are needed since most of the park is self-guided. However, you will need to register to tour the Birth Home of Dr. King. Reservations for touring the Birth Home are handled on a first-come first-serve basis the day of your tour, in person. No advance reservations can be made.
There are only 15 persons permitted on a tour. Tours fill up quickly, so arrive early in the day. Groups can reserve up to three spaces (45 persons) the day of their tour.
Obtain your free Birth Home tickets at the information desk located inside Freedom Hall at The King Center.

MONDAY, JULY 8
Virtual Reality for all ages. Be transported to another reality with Virtual Reality technology. All ages welcome. Recommended 6 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No registration is required.

TUESDAY, JULY 9
Chick-fil-A Cow Appreciation Day. Break out your spots and cow bells, dress like a cow and you are rewarded with a free entrée. You can buy your costume or make it, they really accept any sort of cow apparel.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 10
Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary. Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary is an educational sanctuary for exotic animals as well as farm animals. They also rehab hundreds of animals yearly through their Wildlife Rehabilitation Program.

THURSDAY, JULY 11
Mable House Tour and Farmer’s Market. Residents can take a tour of the 1843 house of the Mable family that sits on the remaining 16 acres of the original 400-acre farm. The home was used as a hospital during the Civil War and is on the National Register of Historic Places. The Farmer’s Market is held in the parking lot of the Mable House complex

FRIDAY, JULY 12
Visit the Atlanta Monetary Museum! Tour the Atlanta Monetary Museum to discover the story of money from barter to modern times, and learn about the turbulent history of banking in America. See the cash and check operation overlooks and rare coins and currency, all while learning how the Federal Bank provides payments system services to help our economy run smoothly.
