SIX FLAGS FRIGHT FEST 

Select days Through October 29 

A spooky time of year as zombies and ghouls take over  the park. Fright Fest offers a wide variety of places to  get your scare on including several haunted houses and  scare zones located throughout the park. The stuff of  nightmares lurks around every corner as the dark of night  washes over the park. The ghouls are set free for their  daily hunting rituals. FOLKLORE HAUNTED HOUSE 

Select days Through November 4

ACWORTH GHOST TOURS 

Fridays and Saturdays  

Acworth’s history and ghost stories are shared by a  tour guide. Size of tour groups limited purchase tickets  in advance. Private tours available for groups of 10  or more during the week. 7:15pm. $18. Walking tour is 1.2 miles meet city hall plaza behind Henry’s Louisiana  Grill, 4415 Senator Russell Avenue, Acworth.

FALL-O-WEEN  

October 7 

Candy trail, costume contests, scavenger hunt, crafts, field games and music. The evening will conclude with a showing of Hotel Transylvania (PG) after sundown. Annual arts and crafts festival held each October.  In addition to a wide variety of arts and crafts items, the festival includes Scarecrows on the Square and Halloween Happenings for children. A teenage boy named Max and his little sister move to Salem, where he struggles to fit in before awakening a trio of diabolical witches (Sarah Jessica Parker, Bette Midler and Kathy Najimy) that were executed in the 17th century. POPE DRAMA CLUB HAUNTED THEATER:  WHAT LURKS BEYOND THE CAMPFIRE October 26-28 

People have gathered around campfires for centuries to share food and stories. Campfires are a place of  community and comfort, but sometimes those stories come to life and wander the woods beyond. Leave  the safety of the fire – at your own risk. You never know  who you’ll find. 5pm, 6pm, 7pm, & 8pm. ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW 

October 27 

Not just a movie, The Rocky Horror Picture Show is a  cult tradition that has been passed down through  generations. As always, patrons are invited to enjoy the movie in costume. A live organ pre-show on the Mighty Allen Theatre Organ will begin thirty minutes prior  to showtime. Prop bags with everything you need to play along are available for pre-purchase. Prop bags  include party hats, rubber gloves, noisemakers, toilet paper, playing cards, and newspaper. Movie Rating:  R. Individuals under the age of 17 will not be admitted  without a parent or guardian. HALLOWEEN HIKES 

October 27-29 

Experience the mystery of a short half-mile guided night  hike through the lighted woodland trails where you’ll meet friendly costumed forest creatures who will delight you with their dramatic antics. Presented by the Atlanta Opera. A fantastical collision of  sight and sound awaits in this imaginative presentation of  vintage cinema. A big-screen showing of the 1931 film of  Mary Shelley’s classic novel “Frankenstein” starring Boris  

Karloff is given a lush and vibrant score composed by  Michael Shapiro and performed by a quintet of singers and The Atlanta Opera orchestra for an entertaining evening at the theater. CITY CEMETERY WALKING TOURS  

October 28 & November 4 

The Marietta City Cemetery has a host of tales to tell  and guided walking tours are offered during the Fall. The tours provide a chance to learn more about Marietta’s constant residents and will focus on previously unseen images of the cemetery and veterans’ stories. Tours are conducted over gravel and uneven pathways, so please plan accordingly. Rain or Shine. Proceeds from the tours  benefit the Marietta Museum of History.
