Here are the winning essays submitted (handwritten) by Jeff Brown’s two children:

“I think that my Dad should be Dad of the Year because he always helps me and my family when we need it. Also my dad helps coach almost all of the sports that me and my brother play. My Dad is one of the most kindest, sweetest, smartest, handsomest and honest people that I know! Not only is my Dad kind/ nice to my family, but he is kind/nice to everyone! For example, he is involved in so many organizations including Chattahoochee Nature Center, Lighthouse Family Retreat, SafePath, Neighborhood Board and so many more! Another thing is, my Dad is so helpful, he helps with so many things big and small in his life. Don’t even get me started on how great at fixing things he is and how smart he is! Those are just a few reasons that my dad should get Dad of the Year! I love him so much!”

“My dad is the best dad ever. He is on the board for SafePath, an organization for abused children, a Vice President for New South and helps my mom raise kids. He is a loving father who sacrifices his time to be at every one of my basketball games and at all of my sister’s lacrosse games. He takes time out of his busy day to spend time with me. He is a loving Dad who fully supports me in anything I do. I couldn’t have asked for a better Dad.”
