Hundreds of fresh Christmas trees are available for sale at the Lassiter High School Band Tree Lot, located outside the Publix Supermarket at Highland Plaza (Sandy Plains at Shallowford roads). Lassiter Band students are selling the fresh North Carolina Fraser firs, as well as wreaths and other items.

The annual fundraising event transforms a corner of the Publix parking lot into a fragrant, festive gathering spot for shoppers from all around metro Atlanta.

“Year after year, a lot of shoppers tell us it’s their holiday tradition to visit the Lassiter Tree Lot,” said event organizer Michael Helmly, who is pictured second from left in the back row. “It’s always fun to connect with past customers, as well as new friends and families who come to get a beautiful tree, or just visit with neighbors.”

The Lassiter Band Tree Lot will be open from Nov. 25 through Dec. 10. Proceeds will help cover the cost of instruments, instruction and other materials.

Customers who purchase a tree receive complimentary trimming, wrapping and loading onto their vehicles. Home delivery is available for an additional fee.
