FEBRUARY 13, 15, 16
The Swan Princess presented by Atlanta Ballet 2. This world premiere production features all of the mystery and magic of the beloved classic Swan Lake but, fits the treasured story into a one-hour format that serves as a perfect introduction to ballet. Unnecessary Farce presented by Centerstage North. Two cops. Three crooks. Eight doors. Go. In a cheap motel room, an embezzling mayor is supposed to meet with his female accountant, while in the room nextdoor, two undercover cops wait to catch the meeting on videotape. But there’s some confusion as to who’s in which room, who’s being videotaped, who’s taken the money, who’s hired a hit man, and why the accountant keeps taking off her clothes. Cobb County Master Gardeners Lunch and Learn: Honeybees & Beekeeping. Entomologist, apiculturist, and former Extension Agent Mickey Anderson will offer instruction on beekeeping and show different types of equipment used by the beekeeper as well as different hive components. Young Artists’ Concerto Competition. The Samuel Fordis Young Artists’ Concerto Competition features the top competition winners in solo performance with the Georgia Philharmonic orchestra.
