Twelve country line dancing teams from Georgia and Alabama Texas Roadhouse stores, including the Marietta, Douglasville, and Hiram locations, will compete in a line dancing contest to raise funds for The Aiden Marley Hughes Foundation on June 26 from 11am to 4pm at the Electric Cowboy, 1750 N. Roberts Road in Kennesaw.
Teams are made up of 6-8 dancers both male and female. Each team will be dressed in Texas Roadhouse line dance attire and perform three songs. A panel of judges will evaluate teams on creativity, energy, spirit, and synchronicity. The winning team will go on to represent their store in a national competition.
The event is free and open to the public, although a $5 donation to the charity is suggested. Organizers will also be selling food during the competition, with all proceeds going to the charity.
The Aiden Marley Hughes Foundation is a recognized 501c3 that donates 100% of all proceeds to children who are in patients or currently under treatment at the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta – Aflac Cancer & Blood Disorder Centers. During the holidays, Aiden’s Army provides an abundance of gifts for the 54 children undergoing treatment in two Aflac campuses and the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit. The foundation also chooses one area family to assist by providing help with utilities, gas cards, and equipment rentals.
