Peachtree Hearing, based in East Cobb, is pleased to announce that its founder, Dr. Melissa Wikoff, has been appointed to the board of directors for the American Tinnitus Association (ATA). Dr. Wikoff will serve on the board with other notable doctors, scientists, and professionals around the world who are dedicated to treating tinnitus. Also serving in an honorary role on the board with Dr. Wikoff is well known actor William Shatner, who for years has been dedicated to helping spread awareness about tinnitus.

“I am committed to bringing hope, better care, and treatment options to those who suffer from tinnitus. It is a great honor to be selected to serve the American Tinnitus Association,” said Dr. Wikoff. “My involvement with the ATA will provide access to experts in the field and more knowledge of tinnitus treatment options to my patients here in Atlanta.” The ATA’s mission is to promote relief, prevent, and find cures for tinnitus, evidenced by its core values of compassion, credibility, and responsibility. Tinnitus is a condition where one experiences ringing in the ears or other noises when no such external physical noise is present. It can be debilitating for chronic tinnitus sufferers.
