Are you looking to gain new skills for your professional development? Adults interested in expanding their career options can learn about KSU’s College of Continuing and Professional Education during a free Open House event on Thursday, July 28 at 6:00 p.m. The Open House, held at the KSU Center, will feature interactive information sessions exploring professional certificate programs and development courses. The event caters to the non-traditional student who desires to re-enter the workforce, change careers or advance in their current position.

“Our purpose is to help students accomplish their goals,” Barbara Calhoun, dean of the college, said. “We are thrilled to host an event that offers individuals the chance to explore their options.”

At the Open House, guests will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with instructors and graduates to discuss programs and career options. The event will showcase over 50 professional certificate programs, including Information System Security, Human Resources Management, EKG Technician, Culinary Apprenticeship, Web Design, Project Management, Medical Assisting and Payroll Professional. Attendees are encouraged to explore multiple program areas throughout the evening.

Baking & Pastry Apprenticeship
Cisco: CCENT & CCNA
Construction Project Management
Facility Management Professional
Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis
Professional Investigator
Residential Landscape Design

All participants will receive an exclusive 10 percent discount and the opportunity to be entered into a Braves ticket drawing. Financial aid advisers will be available to discuss payment plans, VA Education Benefits, WIOA, scholarships for select programs and more.
