Cobb County will once again host the annual Make-A-Wish® Georgia 5K on Saturday, Oct. 4, bringing the community together to grant life-changing wishes for local children with critical illnesses. This year, 43 Cobb County children are waiting for their wishes to be granted — wishes that can provide hope, joy, and strength during some of their most difficult days. From travel adventures to meeting personal heroes, each wish requires the support of a caring community. Proceeds from the race will directly benefit Make-A-Wish Georgia to help bring those dreams to life. The event takes place at the historic Marietta Square, with pre-race festivities kicking off at 7:20 a.m. and the race beginning promptly at 8:00 a.m. Walk-up registration will be available that morning from 6:30 to 7:20 a.m. The Make-A-Wish Georgia 5K is a Peachtree Road Race qualifying event, giving participants the chance to compete for a great cause while also meeting eligibility for Atlanta’s iconic race. “We are proud to once again partner with Cobb County for the 20th annual Make-A-Wish Georgia 5K,” said Tim Earley, CEO of Make-A-Wish Georgia. “This event is more than just a run. It’s a celebration of community, and together we are helping to grant the wishes of children battling critical illnesses right here in Cobb County.” Event details:
