Do you have a need for a plumber, maid service or graphic designer that is local and available? Are you a programmer, tutor or handyman seeking local or national work? Two East Cobbers recently created the free SnappHelp mobile app that connects service providers with consumers.

SnappHelp makes it easy to find help. For example, if you need an electrician, you simply select the service you need, enter your request and click “Send.” Your request is automatically delivered to local electricians. Available electricians then respond directly to you through the app with their availability and pricing.

On the other hand, if you want to market your skills or services as a tutor, photographer, graphics designer or any other service, simply add your skills and services when you sign-up. You will start receiving requests from other users in your area. Additionally, users can rate each other and see a star rating for service providers.

This app is unique because you are not simply shown a list of providers for your needs, but a direct secure connection is made between you and the provider when you make a request and a provider responds to your request. It’s free for both providers and users, and there are no hidden fees or ads.

What started out as an idea by founder Sony Roundhill for connecting odd jobs with providers turned into a mobile application that can help consumers, freelancers, recruiters and job seekers. Sony partnered with Jay Hodges, IT expert and fellow East Cobb dad, to launch the app.

“SnappHelp gets stronger as more and more people register, and I’m happy that we can match consumers with someone who can meet their needs quickly and easily,” said Sony. “SnappHelp has unmatched privacy features which allows users to delete their requests and messages from other users’ devices as needed,” he added.

The app is Apple and Android friendly. Visit the Apple iTunes App store or Google Play Store to download, or visit www.snapphelp.com for the download link.
