Members of the Esther Romanoff Kazer Strengthening Senior Reading group of the College of Continuing and Professional Education at Kennesaw State University recently celebrated Elizabeth Bennett’s birthday, who turned 95. Said Bennett during a meeting of the Strengthening Senior Reading program, ”I just love what we do here. I still like to learn. It’s informational. It brings happiness. When you stop learning, it’s time to go.”

Bennett said she looks forward to the weekly meetings, where students read together from newspapers, articles, books and more to learn about current events and build on their reading skills. Strengthening Senior Reading is an outreach program of the College of Continuing and Professional Education at Kennesaw State University. It began in August of 2015, with a focus on improving literacy and reading comprehension for seniors in a safe learning environment.
