We’ve all been to Super Bowl parties. Too often they consist of a sofa full of guys cheering and high-fiving while they gulp down beer and chips. Meanwhile, their hapless wives and girlfriends make awkward small talk by the veggie tray and check their watches every few minutes.

If you are in search of another way to celebrate Super Bowl, why not try something different this year and take a road trip to Rosemary Beach, Fla.? The Rosemary Beach Foundation has planned a Super Bowl weekend girls getaway February 2-5. Set to a Mardi Gras theme, here is a list of activities planned for the weekend:

Featuring The Krickets, named 2016 IMEA Folk Artist of the Year “Classified as ‘Swamp-Folk,’ the group combines hearty elements of Americana and Country with dashes of Bluegrass for a truly stunning one-of-a-kind sound.”

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 3, 2017

10:30 AM – NOON – Author’s Talk – Town Hall

Co-authors of Saints of Old Florida, a book of photographs, stories, and recipes from the “saintly” Florida Panhandle towns and islands just east of 30A: St. Joseph, St. Vincent, St. George, St. Teresa and St. Marks. Melissa Farrell, Christina McDermott and Emily Raffield will share their journey of becoming authors and explain how they collaborated as creatives to honor their home on Florida’s rural coastline Moderated by Lisa Burwell of VIE Magazine. SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 2017

Join us for a Sunday morning brunch. Relive moments from Girls Getaway through a presentation of Instagram Photos. Brunch Compliments of Townsend Catering.

All of these activities have been planned as a FUNdraiser. Tickets are $195 and benefit Rosemary Beach Foundation and their charitable partner, the Sacred Heart Hospital- Family Birth Place Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) expansion. The Family Birth Place now delivers over 1,200 babies per year and the new 10-bed Level II NICU will bring specialized care to our smallest patients. Construction on the new unit will begin in January 2017 with a projected opening in early 2018.

Rosemary Beach Foundation offers and supports community events, cultural programs, educational projects, and charitable activities.
