A new one-stop art center has opened in our area, complete with art classes, workshops, art gallery, art supply stop, even a coffee shop! Peachtree Art Center is here to celebrate the unique talents and accomplishments of local artists and also provide opportunities for those desiring to hone their artistic skills or find a new hobby.
Local owner and Certified Bob Ross Instructor, Angela Sigari, who has lived in East Cobb for almost forty years, aims to showcase local talent and provide the community with lots of fun art choices. Classes and workshops include all kinds of art events; painting, drawing, wood-carving, glass-etching, sewing, quilting, crocheting, knitting, Cricut-making, pottery, and more. “Just last week I was approached by someone who wants to hold Majohng here for the public to enjoy, so beginner and advanced Mahjong will begin soon!”, she recently said.
Exhibits in the gallery include quite a variety of local talent. Visitors can enjoy painting, drawing, photography, and mixed media, ranging from traditional to contemporary. The public is invited to support these folks, visit the center, and purchase their works. The grand opening of the center is Saturday, August 23, 11-2pm. Stop by and visit!
The center is also available for gatherings and events, including parties or rental space for birthdays, anniversaries, team-building, home school gatherings, or any occasion. With two full kitchens on site, groups can enjoy large open areas with amenities. Events can be customized to the group’s needs, and any of the art disciplines can be utilized. Paint parties are a favorite, but guests can also choose and enjoy blanket-making, wood-burning, or clay building classes, just to name a few.
Our area is fortunate to have many creative studios and centers, and each one of us brings our own unique personal touch to the events we offer. Peachtree Art Center specializes in variety, so no matter the age, skill level, or area of art interest, there is something for everyone. There are lots of class choices from many talented and knowledgeable artist instructors. As a Bob Ross instructor, Angela also carries the full line of Bob Ross painting supplies in the retail shop, which is a big plus to those who enjoy that quality of paint, brushes, and other items.
