For the first time in history, the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Camping World Team Series will buck into Duluth, Georgia, bringing the transformative team bull riding league to Gas South Arena on July 26-28, 2024.

PBR Teams launched in 2022 with eight founding teams. Those teams are: Arizona Ridge Riders of Glendale, Arizona; Austin Gamblers of Austin, Texas; Carolina Cowboys of Greensboro, North Carolina; Florida Freedom of Sunrise, Florida; Kansas City Outlaws of Kansas City, Missouri; Missouri Thunder of Ridgedale, Missouri; Nashville Stampede of Nashville, Tennessee; and Texas Rattlers of Fort Worth, Texas. Prior to the 2024 season the burgeoning league expanded, welcoming the New York Mavericks of Brooklyn, New York, and Oklahoma Wildcatters of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

While each team hosts a homestand, the league also holds two neutral site events. Gas South Arena and Duluth will welcome the league for the first neutral site event, followed by the Camping World Team Series returning to Anaheim, California, later in the campaign.

PBR Teams builds on the existing structure of professional bull riding with the same basic rules for judging and scoring qualified 8-second bull rides. Events are structured in a tournament-style format with all teams competing in head-to-head matchups against a different opponent each day. In each game, five riders on a team square off against another team. Full team rosters are comprised of up to seven riders on the Protected Roster and up to five Reserve Roster members. The team with the highest aggregate score of qualified rides among its riders is declared the winner of each game, and each game day has a team winner as well.

While the event inside Gas South Arena will be a neutral site event, several teams have ties to the region.

  • The Carolina Cowboys, owned by NASCAR legend Richard Childress and led by General Manager Austin Dillon, are based in Greensboro, North Carolina. The Carolina Cowboys will travel to Duluth ranked No. 1 in the league after making history at the season launch event in Oklahoma City, delivering just the third perfect game in history.
  • The Nashville Stampede, who ride out of Music City in Tennessee, are the league’s inaugural World Champions, owned by Augusta-based Morris Communications Company. For the Nashville Stampede, they will begin the Duluth event No. 7 as they attempt to become the first-ever two-time PBR Teams World Champions this season.

As an additional layer of excitement, the Peach State PBR Teams event will mark just the second for bull riding legend J.B. Mauney at the helm of the Oklahoma Wildcatters. The two-time PBR World Champion recently transitioned to coaching following a career ending injury. The Wildcatters hosted the league for the season-launch event in mid-July, going 2-1 to rise to No. 4 in the league.

The Nashville Stampede’s Mason Taylor, along with other riders and both league and team personnel, are available at any point prior remotely, and will be in the greater Atlanta area beginning Wednesday, July 24.
