On a day when many of us have plenty of food on our table today, Tritt Elementary School students and staff collected 3,000 canned goods and nonperishables.

In a continuing effort to live their school motto of “Kind is the new Cool,” Becky Grindstaff and Debbie Edwards, school counselors at Tritt, spearheaded a school-wide campaign (with their 5th grade students helping them all the way) to collect canned and nonperishable food items to be donated to the community’s local food bank at Catholic Church of St. Ann.

The students, parents and staff collected and donated over 3,000 canned goods and nonperishables.
