Unity North Atlanta opens Pathways: Parents Morning Out, a conscious approach to early childcare in East Cobb.

Unity North Atlanta opens Pathways, its new Parents Morning Out program, on August 1, 2016. The program takes a unique approach to early childhood education by infusing aspects of Reggio Emilia education with Unity philosophy. Pathways aims to nurture the perfect beauty, goodness, and intellect of each child.

“We believe that all children are gifted with a beautiful spirit and keen intellect,” says Program Director Erika Dorland. “Our teachers are guides who are intimately involved in the learning adventure. We are engaged with the children as they explore each activity.”

The program has one of the lowest student-teacher ratios in the state and will feature yoga, meditation, music, languages, art, practical living, and science. The facilities are complete with an organic garden, natural lighting in the classrooms, and an optional dance class after dismissal.

As Reverend Richard Burdick explains, “At Unity we understand that the most important and formative years in our human experience occur between birth and the start of formal education. Our program offers much more than respite for you as parents. It comes with our commitment to being a positive, uplifting environment that encourages your child’s innate goodness. Our staff has been personally selected for this very reason. Your child will be in the hands of caring people who offer much more than childcare; they offer a consciousness of your child’s intrinsic preciousness.”
