Last month, the Walton High School girls volleyball team was officially named 2017 National Champions by PrepVolleyball.com. MaxPreps, and Volleyball Mag also recognized the 2017 AAAAAAA State Champions the best in the United States! Suzanne Fitzgerald was also named National Coach of the Year by PrepVolleyball, MaxPreps, National High School Coaches Association; State Coach of the Year – Georgia Volleyball Coaches Association, and Georgia High School Coaches Association. The Walton HS volleyball team have been state champions in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
The 2017 volleyball team members are: Gabby Gonzales, Molly Pember, Riley Spurlin, Meghan Froemming, Reilly MacNeill, Chandler Parker, Julia Davis, Emery Dupes, Ashlyn Goolsby, Caroline Cheney, Jordan Rush, Madison Morey, Phoebe Awoleye, Kendall O’Brien, Catherine Cheney, Katie Strickland, Sam Jones, and Katie Crocker.
