Dr. Kerisa Harriott reminisces about her childhood days in Kingston, Jamaica, playing pretend dentist with friends. She was in awe of the transformative power braces had on her teeth over the course of four years. Today, Dr. Harriott is the primary care provider at Willow Orthodontics in Marietta, located at 1111 Johnson Ferry Road. She brings 12 years of experience and a lifetime of compassion to East Cobb residents.

Dr. Harriott’s studies began at Randolph-Macon College in Virginia, where she graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry on scholarship. She then earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, also on scholarship. Following dental school, she completed a general practice residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where she was awarded resident of the year. Dr. Harriott practiced briefly as a General Dentist before starting an orthodontic residency at Stony Brook University. Under Dr. Harriott’s leadership, Willow Orthodontics embraces a family-centered culture that reflects the East Cobb community’s values. “We’re present, we’re listening, and we really do care about our patients,” says Dr. Harriott.

The office offers state-of-the-art solutions in a convenient and vibrant space. The front reception area is inviting and filled with natural light, green plants, and soft seating. A unique rainbow chandelier made from recycled orthodontic ties hangs from the ceiling, which was handcrafted by the previous provider and remains displayed as a symbolic torch. A chalkboard wall beyond the lobby displays inspiring chalk artwork by one of Willow Orthodontics’ talented orthodontic assistants.

Willow Orthodontics specializes in straightening teeth and jaw alignment, and welcomes both kids and adults. Services include metal and ceramic braces, as well as Invisalign treatments as a Diamond Tier provider. To improve accuracy and efficiency Willow Orthodontics uses digital scans, eliminating uncomfortable mouth molds! Dr. Harriott is excited about Willow Orthodontics’ digital dental monitoring technologies. Patients can now be monitored more closely and communicate through an app on their phones, offering flexibility in appointment scheduling and shorter treatment time.

Dr. Harriott recently relocated from New York with her husband, Dr. Ebunoluwa Onafalujo, and their children, Isaiah (2), and Zuri (1). She joined Willow Orthodontics in June after returning from maternity leave. “I do unto others as I would have them do unto me,” she explains. “I want my patients to feel heard and valued, so when I treat patients, I take a lot of time in the consultation to understand the goals they are hoping to achieve.”

In addition to the Marietta practice, Willow Orthodontics has a second location at Madison Yards in East Atlanta. For a free consultation, call 770-863-8592 or book online 24/7 at www.willowsmiles.com.
