Chad Cole: Travel and Transitions. Artwork in this exhibition explores Cole’s chosen themes of the Southern Gothic and the concept of “The American Dream,” but he also conveys the impact that travel and gaining new perspective has had on his artistic and personal growth. Heart/Beat presented by the Atlanta Ballet. This world premiere contemporary ballet is set to beloved Negro spirituals, gospel songs, and newly composed music. Themes of faith, devotion, love and loss power the movement as the ballet explores a universal message of humanity and compassion. 40th Annual Walton Raider Chase. A celebration of both running and Raider Pride. Olympic style track finish, complete with live music, awards, and raffle prizes. Hyde Farm Tour. A wonderful way to spend your Saturday morning, walking and learning the history of life on the farm in Cobb County with a 45-minute tour. Unnecessary Farce presented by Centerstage North. Two cops. Three crooks. Eight doors. Go. In a cheap motel room, an embezzling mayor is supposed to meet with his female accountant, while in the room nextdoor, two undercover cops wait to catch the meeting on videotape. But there’s some confusion as to who’s in which room, who’s being videotaped, who’s taken the money, who’s hired a hit man, and why the accountant keeps taking off her clothes.
