On Tuesday, September 26, the AFC East Cobb branch held a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony with members of the community and new patients in attendance.  A team of ambassadors from the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce was on site as well to participate in the ribbon-cutting honors.

Dr. Leia Dawson, who is board-certified in Family Practice, will serve as medical director of AFC East Cobb. “We are very excited about opening a location in Cobb County and serving our community,” said Dr. Dawson. “Like our other centers in the surrounding areas, this new clinic will fill a significant void.  Our patients and their families are our top priority, and they deserve the best medical treatment available. We are looking forward to providing care to families who live and work nearby.”

Dr. Dawson is a native of Birmingham, AL, and lives in the North Cobb area with her husband and two children.  Her husband, Brandon Dawson, serves as the Director of Business Operations and Development at the clinic.
