Kick off the holidays at East Cobb’s hometown hangout and enjoy festivities all season long
Avenue East Cobb’s annual Lighting of Avenue East Cobb is back and more festive than ever. For its third year, the lifestyle destination has partnered with East Cobb Church for a holiday extravaganza featuring live music, family-friendly activations, and more.
On Friday, November 20 from 5 to 7 p.m., East Cobbers are invited to revel in the merriment and create new traditions at the Marietta hotspot. From 5 to 6:45 p.m., families can enjoy an exciting activity row featuring experiences like face painting, holiday photo moments, a bounce house, a festive event bar from Peach State Pizza, and more. At 6:45 p.m., East Cobb Church emcees will welcome Santa to the stage. With a little help from the Jolly Man in Red, they will lead the crowd in a countdown to the lighting of Avenue East Cobb’s dazzling 26-foot tree.
The Lighting of Avenue East Cobb signals the official start of the bustling holiday season and tees up a roster of spirited events throughout November and December at the property, including:
• Photos with Santa | November 21 to December 24 – Make memories to last a lifetime and snap a photo with Santa Claus at East Cobb’s hometown hangout. Appointments are available to book HERE; walk-ups will be accepted as time allows. Santa at Avenue East Cobb is located in the family lounge, next to Panera Bread.
• Storytime with Santa | December 2, 9, and 16 at 3, 4, and 5 p.m. – Gather around to enjoy special treats and a story read aloud by Santa. Tickets are $15 per child and proceeds benefit Habitat for Humanity Northwest Atlanta. Storytime with Santa is recommended for children ages three to seven.
• Black Friday at Avenue East Cobb | November 27 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. – Shop special deals and tackle your holiday gift list during Black Friday at Avenue East Cobb. For a list of promotions, visit the website HERE.
• Lights, Camera, Avenue | December 3, 10, and 17 | 6 p.m. – Kick back in The Plaza for complimentary screenings of holiday movie classics on the jumbo LED screen. Keep an eye on Avenue East Cobb’s Instagram stories in November for a poll to vote on what movies are shown. Seating is first-come, first-served and takeout from onsite restaurants is encouraged.
• Menorah Lighting at Avenue East Cobb | December 6 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. – Celebrate Chanukah with Avenue East Cobb and Chabad of Cobb during a traditional Menorah lighting ceremony, hosted in The Plaza. Enjoy family-friendly activities, delicious Chanukah treats, and an exciting gelt drop from Cobb County Fire Department.
